Tunisia-An international journalism star dies

A great media man died this Tuesday, October 3. Jean-Pierre Elkabbach passed away at the age of 86. He commemorated the history of French radio and television.

In “The Shores of Memory”, his memoir published in 2022, Jean-Pierre Elkabbach retraced his journey as a reporter, which started in the 1960s at RTF radio in Oran and continued in the largest editorial offices: France Inter, Europe 1 then Antenne 2, where he launched with Alain Duhamel the program “Cartes sur table”, which marks the seven-year term of Valéry Giscard d’Estaing. .

He will then manage the Europe 1 station, between 2005 and 2008, then join CNews in 2017. In 2021, he will return to radio, still on Europe 1, for prominent political interviews, his eternal passion. With a certain sense of self-deprecation.
