A private plane from Benina Airport in Libya landed Monday morning, March 24, 2025, at Tunis Carthage International Airport with the bodies of six Tunisian engineers who passed away in a traffic accident on the Jallo-Kufra road at dawn on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
The accident happened during a collision between a company bus and a truck.
The accident resulted in the death of six Tunisians and the injury of a seventh Tunisian, in addition to the death of the truck driver, a Libyan national.
According to Libyan sources, the commander-in-chief, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, recommended that a plane be assigned to transport the bodies of the six Tunisians to Tunisia. The bodies were accompanied by the Consul General of the Republic of Tunisia in Benghazi and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Libyan government, Abdelhadi al-Hawij.
