The president of the Magistrates Association Anas Hamadi announced today that more than 250 magistrates in the country have tested positive for COVID-19, questioning “How many judges have yet to die for the government to eventually wake up.”
Hamadi stated on the sidelines of the demonstration rally held today in front of the Nabeul Court of First Instance, following the death of magistrate Sonia Laaridhi, that a press conference will be organized tomorrow to notify public opinion of the degradation of the judicial infrastructure, in special as regards the health situation in the courts.
He likewise called on the state to augment the incomes of magistrates, to take care of the sick among the judges and to improve the judicial system.
