Speaking to Tunisie Numérque,virologist and member of the Scientific Committee for the fight against the Coronavirus, Mahjoub Aouni, affirmed that the significant growth in the number of infections by covid, is considered a natural phenomenon, given recent movements of Tunisians between regions for winter vacation.
Aouni added that the most prevalent strain during this period is the “Delta”, which is known for its ferocity. Indeed, the virologist cited the rapid spread of the “Omicron” variant and, in this sense, called for compliance with the health protocol.
