Tunisia-Arab Lawyers Union expresses support for Chawki Tabib in letter to Saïed

The Arab Lawyers Union sent a letter to the President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed on Sunday, August 29, 2021, in which it expressed support for the former president of the Inlucc, Chawki Tabib, qualifying his house arrest as a violation of the Tunisian law and human rights rules and international laws.

The Union which, in the same letter, congratulated the Head of State for his “courageous” decisions and the promising reformations undertaken to meet the expectations of the people and look after their interests, called on him, in the same spirit rights and freedoms, to uplift the restrictions inflicted on Chawki Tabib.
