Tunisia – Aram Belhaj: We’re going to the Lebanese scenario!

Economics expert Aram Belhaj revealed that the IMF could very well demand from Tunisia to recourse to the Paris club, as long as it was not able to unlock funds to finance its 2023 budget.

He clarified that this would lead us directly to the Lebanese scenario with all its inconveniences.

Belhaj confirmed that it would be possible to get out of this situation by launching negotiations in order to reschedule state debts to other countries, and to count on the tourism and TRE returns, to improve revenue In foreign currency, and, in the meantime, to ensure economic recovery.
