Patrols from the terrorism prevention services and intelligence units of the National Guard in various districts (Gabès, Zaghouan, Gafsa, Mahdia, Bizerte, Monastir, Tunis, Sidi Bouzid, and Ariana) successfully apprehended 11 takfirist elements, including a woman. These people were wanted by various security units and judicial structures for membership in a terrorist organization.
In a statement released on Friday, the General Directorate of the National Guard reported that these individuals had been sentenced to prison terms varying from one to eight years. Following a review, the Public Prosecutor’s Office authorized the implementation of the necessary legal measures.
