Tunisia: Arrest of an individual subject to 27 search warrants

After setting up a tight ambush, security units of the Intervention and Relief Sub-Directorate succeeded to apprehend an individual who intentionally snatched the mobile phone from a young woman while he was driving his motorcycle. By delivering his identity to the automatic system, it was discovered that he was the subject of 27 search warrants for the benefit of security units and various judicial structures for: “extreme violence, organization of an agreement, theft, attack to the property of others, robbery of the property of others by breaking and entering, carrying and possession of a bladed weapon without a permit…”
 
In coordination with the representative of the Tunis public prosecutor’s office, he ordered his arrest for burglary and threats, as well as the continuation of inquiries.
