Tunisia: Arrest of Takfirist for robbery and theft of 60 thousand dinars

After circulating the image of an individual who carried out a robbery in Bardo and robbed 60 thousand dinars, the executives and agents of the national security post of Cité Ezzouhour were capable to identify the suspect who escaped.

It turned out to be a takfirist element that had formerly attempted to join terrorist groups. On several occasions, he intentionally perpetrated robberies, from which he collected money to collect wood.

After coordination with the representative of the public prosecutor’s office, a close ambush was set for the individual concerned, following which the security agents were able to capture him and the search is continuing by the Bardo judicial police brigade.
