Tunisia-Arrest warrant against Taoufik Mkacher

The judicial and financial pole issued, this Monday, an arrest warrant against the president of the Chebbian Sports Crescent, Taoufik Mkacher, for charges linked to suspicion of money laundering and other financial charges, Mosaique FM reported.

It should be recalled that the prosecution of the Judicial and Financial Pole had allowed agents of the third central brigade for complex financial crimes of the National Guard in Aouina to detain Taoufik Mkacher for 48 hours before subsequently permitting an extension of his detention for an additional five days based on the anti-terrorism and anti-money laundering law.

With the expiration of Mkacher’s detention period, he was directed today Monday to the attention of the public prosecutor to decide whether to open a judicial inquiry against him. The investigating judge in charge of the investigation decided to issue a committal warrant against him pending trial.
