Tunisia-Arrest warrent against ex-mayor of Kef

The investigating judge of the Kef Court of First Instance issued an arrest warrant against the former mayor of Kef for charges of abuse of power aimed at getting an undue advantage, resulting in damage to the administration and breach of regulations in force. This information was confirmed by Yosri Haouami, first deputy prosecutor of the Kef first instance court and official spokesperson.

In a statement to Mosaïque FM this Wednesday, February 14, 2024, Haouami revealed that the prosecution of the court of first instance of Kef gave the order to open an inquiry against the former mayor, as well as any individual identified during the investigation.

Haouami specified that after the interrogations, the investigating judge decided to issue a committal warrant against the former mayor of Kef, pending the conclusion of the investigation and his presentation to the prosecution, where Formal requests may be created.
