Tunisia-Arrested for trying to help their sons to migrate illegally

The passenger security unit, reporting to the Sfax maritime guard post, apprehended on Monday, September 14, two brothers who were accompanied by their two sons. The group, in a vehicle, was heading for the island of Kerkennah and had in its possession 6,000 dinars.
After investigation, it turned out that they had arrived from Ouled Chemekh, a delegation from the governorate of Mahdia, and were accompanying the two young people to help them escape police checks to embark clandestinely for European coasts.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office authorized the police custody of the two men for association with a view to helping others to cross maritime borders illegally. The vehicle and the sum of money were seized.
