Tunisia- Association of Magistrates calls for measures to prevent coronavirus in courts

The Executive Office of the Tunisian Association of Magistrates called, in a statement released Thursday, the Superior Council of the Judiciary and the Minister of Justice to conclude a health protocol for the protection of all courts and judicial institutions in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Epidemic Committee, and to sterilize all courts, urgently.

The Executive Office, after registering numerous confirmed cases of infection with the coronavirus, with judges, lawyers and clerks, “expressed serious concern about the health conditions which warn of the paralysis of the judicial structure and the lack of coordination between the Supreme Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice, with a view to concluding a health protocol for courts and judicial institutions or taking any measures concerning cases of infection. that occur in court ”.

The Association of Magistrates also expressed its surprise at “the lack of follow-up with the courts in which confirmed cases of Coronavirus infection have been detected, and the failure to conduct the necessary analyzes for the staff, in a process of their complete marginalization and their families ”, according to the text of the press release.
