Security units from the Tunis district of the border police at Goulette ports were able to seize 12 plates of cannabis and approximately 1,000 ecstasy tablets from a Tunisian traveller coming from a foreign country.
This seizure follows the availability of information according to which travellers from a foreign country were transporting a quantity of narcotic substances. After coordination with customs authorities, the truck was carefully searched, and 12 cans of Indian cannabis weighing around 1.2 kg and approximately 1,000 ecstasy tablets were discovered hidden inside, as packages of tea, products food, boxes of chocolate and coffee, according to the General Administration of National Security.
