Tunisia-[Audio] :A 20 day lockdown is imperative in Sfax

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique,Dr Lilia Masmoudi stressed that the epidemiological situation in Sfax has become extremely severe.

She added that doctors are reduced currently to decide who to admit in the ICU and who to abandon to their fate.

Dr Masmoudi confirmed that it is mandatory to decree a general lockdown in regions that encounter a large spread of the virus, such as Sfax, Gabes or Medenine. She stated that lockdown should last, at least, 20 days, to be able to curb the contamination.

She did, nevertheless, recognize that general lockdown across the country is incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to achieve, given its financial and economic fallout.
