Tunisia- [Audio] – Fatah–Hamas… finally toward reconciliation

Palestine’s top political groups Fatah and Hamas slammed the UAE-Israel deal as a “stab in the back and an obliteration of the [Palestinian] cause.” The two factions decided to put an end to all disputes and join their hands in the fight against the Zionist entity.

Figures from the two main groups reaffirmed their opposition to the UAE’s move to normalize ties with Israel.

On his part, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has requested for a broad national dialogue, and maintained that Fatah and Hamas movements need initiate a dialogue to endorse steps to end the division according to the principle of “one people and one political system”.
Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Advisor in the Palestinian embassy in Tunisia Hicham Mustapha said that the meeting took a unified stance and a firm refusal and rejection of plans of the elimination of the Palestinian cause or even annexations plans of the west bank.
Our speaker pointed out that it’s further called upon free nations to rally behind the Palestinian people in their resistance and struggle to regain their legitimate rights to establish an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital. The two factions also called for the return of refugees based on the UN decision number 194.

Addressing the Palestinian cause and reconciliation as a preparatory to resolving all disputes and putting these solutions into practice were at the heart of the meeting and its outcomes, Mr Musptpha said.
It is noticeable that Mr Ismail Haniyeh was warm in his statement towards the leadership President Mahmoud Abbas and the Fatah movement, praising the movement’s fights.,he added.
As for the mechanism to end the division, our speaker stressed that it will be through joint committees that present their recommendations to the President and the members of the conference
Muhammad Baraka had indicated that everyone was waiting for the recommendations of the committees to be announced to implement them
