Tunisia-[Audio]: Ghazi Chaouchi “If we face the obligation of reorganizing the legislative, it will be a direct result of Ennahdha failure “

In an official statement to Tunisie Numérique, secretary-general of the democratic current Ghazi Chaouchi positively asserted that Ennahda has the fundamental right to promptly elect someone from its party to head the next government since they hold the considerable majority of elected seats in the local parliament. However, if its elected prime minister fails to get approval for his government or if they hinder the one tentatively proposed by the elected president it will be properly marked as an ultimate failure for the entire Islamic party and no one else, adding that they wont be elected again.

In regards to Fathi Ayadi comments , Chaouachi asserted that Ayadi statement is a threat to his party a one that is full of conscious ego, he advised the party to be more modest reminding them that they solely occupy 25% of the seats, hence they must consider positions of other parties.

Multiple parties like the Democratic Movement and People’s Movement will not join a potential alliance with Ennahda unless they willingly consent to specific terms, which properly include an independent head of government added Chaouachi .

In the same context, Chaouachi emphasised that democratic current will willingly participate in the upcoming government under the specific conditions of having a “government of national salvation” head by a nonpartisan prime minister, a one of competent nature also .
