Tunisia- [Audio] Imed Ben Halima: Mechichi must abide by his statements regarding the dispersal El Kamour sit-in

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, lawyer Imed Ben Halima reflected on prime minister Hichem Mechichi speech in which he expressed that the state will pass to the stage of enforcing the law against anyone that halt the production of petrol in reference to El kamor and CPG .Mr Halima affirmed that the same speech pattern was delivered by Youssef Chahed and Elyes Fakhfakh, adding that if the state desired to use force then it will do so by action rather than speeches.

He noted that the Sit-in is a mystery in terms of supply and who fund these parties since its taking place in closed zome under the supervision of the army and ministry of defence. Our speaker pointed that accessing the zone requires authorization and many complex procedures, he wonders how it became easily accessible.

Addressing Mechichi, Mr Halima said that was required today it to cut supply lines to these groups, and that will spare him a confrontation by force and an armed confrontation with the citizens.

He also affirmed that spokesperson for El Kamour sit-in, Tarek Hadded speech has defiance for the state, adding that the refusal of Regional Syndicate of Internal Security Forces in the region to intervene by force against the protesters is a form of disobedience and it is a dangerous matter and The refusal of any military or security personnel to implement the orders to evacuate is disobedience and a failure of the state and requires the punishment of dismissal and trial.

Our speaker stressed that Mechichi has to be committed to his word especially it is proven that the protestors are not normal citizens but gangs who want to strike the state, adding that negotiations can’t take place with them in this sense.

Ben Halima hinted at the involvement of political parties, supporting the PM  his government, in generating confusion in Tataouine region through the revolution protection ties, in reference to the Ennahda movement, wondering how Mechichi would deal with this situation.
