Tunisia-[Audio] Mahmoud Baroudi : President of the Republic will dissolve the Parliament and the parties having received foreign funding on December 17th

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Political activist and former parliamentarian, Mahmoud Baroudi said that the President of the Republic’s meeting with representatives of the judiciary shows that he is heading towards the activation of decrees if the Court of Accounts does not take the required decisions concerning the matter of foreign funding of some politicians.
He added that Saied has only one choice if the Court of Auditors does not give its decision, which is to remove the status of member of parliament from politicians, who are shown to have received foreign funds. with a potential ban on participating in the elections.
The penalties can go as far as the dissolution of certain political parties with the imposition of a jail sentence of up to 5 years. According to our speaker, when the majority of deputies lose their membership, its dissolution becomes an unavoidable consequence of the decisions of Kais Saied, which he will announce on December 17.
