Speaking to Tunisie Numérique,Ennahdha member Mohamed Goumani said the party has decided to establish an interim commission to deal with the current political crisis, in light of unconstitutional presidential decrees.
Goumani pointed out that Tunisia is going through a new exceptional phase. “We want to resume work within state institutions as soon as possible,” he said. Emphasizing that the government has not yet been formed and that the President of the Republic has so far not given a roadmap, underlining the passage of 18 days.
He likewise confirmed the multitude of opinions and approaches within the party within the framework of “democratic practice”. As a result, it was decided to form a spokesperson committee for the movement, and all individual statements are in no way binding on the party.
He emphasised that Ennahdha is looking for resolutions and ready to tackle even early elections.
