Tunisia-[Audio] -Neji Jalloul calls interview with PM Mechichi “catastrophic

In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, Mr Neji Jalloul qualified prime minister Hichem Mechichi yesterday interview by “catastrophic”.

He estimated that “the answers of the head of government are cold and empty”. In this sense, he added that the nation is in a state of war against the coronavirus particularly as the figures announced by the health authorities are disturbing, emphasising that the presidencies of the government and of the parliament are incapable of carrying out this war.

Our speaker added that Mr Mechichi speech is without feelings at a time when the Tunisians need to be consoled.

“Mechichi said the White Army was infected during wedding ceremonies as the majority of medical and paramedical personnel caught the virus in health facilities. He also indicated that the role of intellectuals is to entertain people, which proves that the head of government is confusing between the intellectual and the comic, “Jalloul continued, adding that these statements are inappropriate
