Tunisia – Audio Rym Mourali : Ball is in the court of the citizens of Tataouine

The signed agreement between the Tunisian cabinet and  Al Kamour protestors would have been better if the government negotiated these arrangements from a position of strength, and not under the weight of blackmail by the demonstrators, said President of the Tunisian Independence Party and activist Rym Mouali in a statement to Tunisie Numérique.

The latter conducted the negotiations with coercion, preserving the pressure and blackmail with the blockade of the valve.

Mourali also stressed that the protesters got everything they desired, until the last whim, in reference to the subsidy for the benefit of the local sports team.

She added that the ball is in the court Tataouine”s citizens, and forwarded the wish to see all these funds well managed and that there be a solid plan with a real vision for sound development.

She called on the young people of Tataouine to manifest much perseverance in working as they did in protest.

Mourali warned that the state must take early and proactive measures to avoid befalling into the same situation of extortion in other areas with other similar blackmail.
