In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, the regional delegate for women, family, children and the elderly of Sidi Bouzid, Henia Nssiri stated that the public prosecutor at the court of first instance of Sidi Bouzid has taken charge of the case of the 7-year-old girl who was attacked by her stepmother in Mghilla locality belonging to the Sabala delegation (governorate of Sidi Bouzid).
She confirmed that the authorities concerned will provide the girl with the required psychological care. She correspondingly explained that it was decided in coordination with the public prosecutor to open an inquiry into this tragedy. I
n the same context, the Ministry of Women announced via a press release made public that it succeeded in coordination with the Child Protection Delegate and the local authorities in determining the identity and address of the father and his wife. The Minister for Women called on the regional delegate for women, families, children and the elderly in Sidi Bouzid to carry out a social probe into the situation of the young girl’s family in order to take the essential measures to this effect.
