Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Al Amal party leader Salma Elloumi provided clarifications on her summons to court for electoral offenses.
The speaker said that she obtained a letter a few months ago from the ISIE as part of the election monitoring remarking that she broke the electoral silence. The case was based on an article posted on social media by a party unrelated to campaign leaders, the same source added.
Elloumi clarified that the ISIE, accordingly, fined her no more than 10,000 dinars, saying that she filed correspondence with the law enforcement officer in question to give her version of the facts. The leader of Al Amal denied having received a summons to court. “I have no relationship with this case. I’m legalistic and I don’t want violations. I desire everything to be done within the framework of legality and transparency ”she specified.
