Tunisia-[Audio]Lotfi Mechri: resumption of Nessma broadcast is planned for this date

In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, the editor-in-chief of the Nessma TV channel Lotfi Mechri voiced his shock at the latest interventions by members of the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA), including Sekina Abdessamad.

According to his statements, the president of the HAICA Nouri Lajmi confirmed that the management of the television channel responded favourably with the requests of the body in question while delivering all the requested documents, adding that the case of Nessma will be decided as soon as possible and this, after the examination of a few small details.

“Nouri Lajmi pledged to us that journalists and agents working within the channel could resume work next week. For her part, Sakina Abdessamad revealed that the file of the television channel Nessma is a priority for the HAICA” he said. Our speaker, moreover, assured that the employees within the chain were surprised by the remarks of the member of the HAICA Hichem Snoussi relating to the shift of the status of Nessma pointing out that the latter had disagreements with the Karoui brothers.

According to him, the management of the channel has communicated all the files related to the contributions of the Karoui brothers which confirm that Nabil Karoui does not occupy any executive position.
