Tunisia-Audio:Minister of education: Deducting strikers’ wages is an application of the law, however, Ramadan will be taken into consideration

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique’s correspondent on the sidelines of his visit to Beja for a number of educational institutions, education Minister Fethi Sellaouti affirmed that the deduction of wages for striking administrators and officials is an application of the law.

The official noted that Ramadan will be taken into consideration in light of increasing prices, pending the progressive completion of the deduction of strike days during the forthcoming months.

Our speaker said that his department has met the demands of strikes who resumed work.

It should be reminded that Minister of Education, Fethi Sellaouti, revealed this Friday, February 12 that deductions would be made on the salaries of administrative staff, supervisors and general supervisors following the strike they had witnessed during the last period, from of this month of February.
