Tunisia-[Audio]Rym Mourali calls on Nadia Akacha to come out of her silence and raise the veil on the causes for her resignation

Speaking to  Tunisie Numérique,  Independence party leader Rym Mourali addressed the resignation of the head of the presidential cabinet Nadia Akacha. She stated that Akacha’s resignation has been heavily debated in recent days, emphasising that the latter was among the decision-makers and influential players at the Carthage Palace.

According to Mourali, Akacha’s resignation letter confirms that she was not just a chief of staff. “She partook, in fact, in decision-making, the development of general policies and the evaluation of cases in association with the interest of the country.

Our speaker called on Nadia Akacha to come out of her silence and raise the veil on the causes for her resignation, to put an end to the interpretations. “According to the resignation letter, Tunisia could encounter bad scenarios in the absence of Akacha. It is her duty, at this point, to come out to clarify to us what she is talking about and what are the fundamental differences of opinion related to this higher interest which was at the origin of her departure from  Carthage” adds Mourali.

She pointed to the conflict between the former Chief of the Presidential Cabinet and the Minister of the Interior Touafik Charfeddine, revealing that this conflict has been further accentuated, especially on social networks. She remembered that the independence of the judiciary, matters related to the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSM) and criminal reconciliation are among the hot issues on Kais Saied’s table, indicating that these matters are linked with the resignation of Akacha.
