Head of the Parliamentary Commission for Administrative Reform, Good Governance and the Fight against Corruption, Badreddine Gammoudi yesterday addressed an open letter to the Minister of Economy Ali Kooli.
As part of the management of the state’s treasury and debt, Badreddine Gammoudi called on the minister to indict corrupt businessmen who do not pay taxes. He likewise emphasised the significance of tackling cases linking to public banks suspected of corruption instead of soliciting funding from the poor and marginalized.
The MP further accused the government of “sponsoring” corruption and defending the interests of the corrupt to the detriment of those of the rest of the population.
