Tunisia-Barometer of political distancing: 70% of Tunisians feel distant from parties

Tunis Survey, a leading expert in online surveys and digital studies, has just issued the results of its political distance barometer.

Political distancing is described by Tunis Survey as ” A Membership that has yet to established or a choice that has yet to be determined regarding an existing political party. It makes it possible to be concluded following the degree of significance, proximity or the distance of citizens/voters that is correlated to parties in the Tunisian political scene “.

One month after the seventh wave, the 8th wave which stopped on August 04, 2020, confirms a verified withdrawal of the Tunisian from politics.

When asked “Which political party are you closest to?”, It appears that 70% of respondents are not close to any political party. Remember that they were 68% during wave 7 of the barometer.

The past month has been politically dramatic and the impact has been felt on voters who are increasingly distancing themselves from the Tunisian political scene.

With a trend that has continued for a few months already, it is clear that the partisan bases of political parties are suffering and are melting like snow in the sun.
