In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, today, Thursday, March 7, 2024, financial and economic analyst Bassam Ennifer noted that the new exchange law is marked by a consensual formula and also includes several changes.

Ennifer added that the most significant of these changes is facilitating financial transactions as much as possible, in addition to the new framework for dealing with digital assets, which is one of the most substantial demands of Tunisian institutions, particularly emerging ones, in addition to approving facilities also concerning sanctions.

Our speaker also revealed that according to officials’ estimates, this new law will fulfil its goal and will live up to expectations, pending confirmation of this.

He remarked that it is extremely difficult for a Tunisian to have an account in hard currency, at present, given the economic capabilities of Tunisia.
