Tunisia-BCT: Launch of “Hannibal” platform to control flow of foreign currencies

The Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) oversaw the launching ceremony of the “Hannibal” platform devoted to the control of the cross-border transport of foreign currencies.

 

The platform is part of the founding of better growth of flows and amounts of cash that pass through Tunisia. It further assists to identify threats and evaluate vulnerabilities in the transportation of foreign currency.

In addition, the “Hannibal” platform will make it plausible, through its support on a risk-based approach, to adopt the required measures in order to combat more effectively money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
