Tunisia-Beja: Arrest of three people for theft of electric wires

The agents of the national guard moved this Thursday, December 3 to the capture 3 people for stealing electric wires in Béja, Tunisie Numérique correspondent reported.

The perpetrators were from Mannouba and Bizerte. They possessed a truck in which officers discovered 30 rolls of aluminium and equipment to assist them to cut the electrical wires (02 large scissors, a scale and a hook). Officers additionally found cannabis.

Upon further inquiry, the suspects confessed that they used to travel to Beja to steal copper wires from utility poles.

After consulting the prosecution, the criminals were jailed for theft of copper electrical wires and for using narcotics.
