Tunisia-Belhaj Moussa: Creation of new unit for children with learning disabilities

On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Amel Belhaj Moussa, the Minister of Families, Women, Children, and Seniors, inaugurated a new support unit devoted to children with learning disabilities and their families.

The minister revealed that the primary purpose of this unit is to assist parents in caring for their children who have learning disabilities. She stressed that the unit is designed to serve an annual capacity of 420 children and provide support to 800 parents.

Emphasizing the unit’s role in education and awareness, Belhaj Moussa stated that the facility plans to annually welcome 1,000 children as part of its commitment to raising awareness. Further, the unit will conduct training and awareness sessions for 1,000 parents.
