Tunisia-Ben Arous: Owners of taxis and louages threaten to protest

The representative of the owners of individual taxis in Ben Arous Jamel Letaïfi stated that owners of individual, collective and rented taxis will organize a demonstration rally on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Transport.

Letaïfi, added that the professionals of these three sectors are calling for the publication of the amendment to the law on acquiring the professional card relating to “taxis”, “hire” and rural transport cars, in the JORT.

He pointed out that the amendment was signed by former prime minister Najla Bouden, for more than three months and that professionals are still waiting for its publication.

Letaïfi has likewise announced that the professionals will observe a strike, in the event of non-satisfaction with their demand, reports Mosaïque FM.
