Tunisia-Ben Khalil: ‘The medical staff are exhausted’

Speaking to Mosaique FM,spokesperson for the Scientific Commission for the fight against the coronavirus, announced on Monday April 26, 2021 that the health situation is increasingly critical, specifying that “the medical staff is exhausted”.

“Despite our efforts, we registered a lot of losses and it had a lot of psychological impact on the medical profession,” she revealed.
Ben Khelil denounced the non-compliance with the health protection measures recommended by the Scientific Commission. “If we had respected the health protocol and applied the barrier gestures, we would have dodged this situation,” she said.
She, further, raised the possibility of proposing a general lockdown and of closing the borders. Nonetheless, she said these are not easy decisions and their application is not easy.
