Leila Jaffel was designated, Monday, October 11, 2021, to the post of Minister of Justice in the government of Najla Bouden. Ms Jaffel was selected in August 2020 as Minister of State Domains and Land Affairs in the government of Hichem Mechichi.
Ms. Jaffel is a magistrate. She was a counsellor at the Court of Cassation. She has held various key positions including the first president of the Court of Appeal of Nabeul, president of the Court of First Instance of Grombalia, president of the criminal chamber under the Court of First Instance of Nabeul.
