Tunisia-Biography of Othman Jerandi, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Othman Jerandi is the minister of foreign minister in Prime minister Najla Bouden, Mr. Jerandi held the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs under the Ali Laârayedh government in 2013 and the Mechichi government.

A career diplomat, he has worked as a Tunisian ambassador to several countries, including South Korea, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Jordan. He also served as Tunisia’s permanent representative to the UN.

A graduate in communications, Othman Jerandi began his career in 1979, under the government of Prime Minister Hédi Nouira.

He is married and the father of two children.
