Tunisia-Bir Kassâa market: Significant drop in the quantities of peppers and tomatoes compared to last year

The Ministry of Commerce revealed that the quantities of agricultural products exhibited for sale at the Bir El Kassaa wholesale market amounted to 1331 tons against 1338 tons during the same day of Ramadan 2021. Concerning the supply of peppers to the market, the ministry revealed that the quantities have dropped by 68% while the quantities of tomatoes have suffered a regression of 40% compared to last year.

On the other hand, 261 complaints related to price growth, conditional sale and wrong display of prices have been filed with the central operations room of the Ministry of Commerce, the same statement read. 168 complaints were handled among the 261 filed, added the same source.
