Tunisia-blogger arrested: Qalb Tounes reacts

Qalb Tounes noted on the case of the blogger detained for harming Head of State Kais Saied.

Qalb Tounes condemned such authoritarian methods which constitute a breach of freedom of expression. According to the same source, the party stated that citizens should be judged in civil courts.

Recalling that military courts have a very special area of intervention, Qalb Tounes warned against the risk of involving the military institution in this type of dispute, specifying that this constitutes a violation of the Constitution and the principle of separation of powers.

Showing its commitment to the principle of freedom of expression, the party called on Internet users to express themselves freely while respecting the law.
