Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, politician and human rights activist Bochra Belhadj Hmida stated that the head of the state Kaïs Saïed is solely accountable for the safety and dignity of all women in Tunisia, and not only his wife and his relatives. It was during a protest movement organized by the Union of Active Women, adding that all women, including magistrates, must obtain the same treatment and be defended and secured in the same way.
Hmida pointed out that President Kais Said opposed equality in inheritance from the start but then created a divergence of opposition to come to the controversial subject of adultery (insinuation to the accusation of adultery of a magistrate) .
