The Ministry of Health announced that as of August 28, 2020, 111 more coronavirus infections have been registered. The report revealed two new deaths, bringing the death tally to 76 since the start of the pandemic.
In its periodic bulletin on the epidemic situation in the country, the ministry indicated that out of a total of 2586 tests carried out, including 109 in the framework of the follow-up of former patients, 111 tests were positive. These include 96 domestic cases, 19 imported cases and 26 cases already carrying the virus, in addition, to two cases under inquiry.
Since the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, 2372 cases of coronavirus contaminations have been recorded, including 534 imported cases, 1827 local cases and 26 deaths.
48 patients are currently hospitalized, including 15 cases admitted to intensive care.
