The Ministry of Health announced that as of August 26, 2020, 117 more coronavirus infections have been registered.
In its periodic bulletin on the epidemic situation in the country, the ministry indicated that out of a total of 2589 tests carried out, including 118 in the framework of the follow-up of former patients, 117 tests were positive. These include 110 domestic cases, 3 imported cases and 4 cases already carrying the virus.
Since the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, 2122 cases of coronavirus contaminations have been recorded, including 512 imported cases, 1604 local cases and 23 deaths.
48 patients are currently hospitalized, including 10 cases admitted to intensive care.
