The Ministry of Health declared that as of August 31, 2020, 160more coronavirus infections have been recorded. The death tally on its part rose to 80 after reporting three new deaths.
In its periodic bulletin on the epidemic situation in the country, the ministry indicated that out of a total of 1848 tests carried out, including 174 in the framework of the follow-up of former patients, 160 tests were positive. These include 148 domestic cases, 12 imported cases and 41 cases already carrying the virus.
Since the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, 2762 cases of coronavirus contaminations have been recorded, including 552 imported cases, 2181 local cases and 30 deaths.
49 patients are currently hospitalized, including 10 cases admitted to the intensive care unit.
