Out of 331 COVID-19 tests carried out, including 31 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 25 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Saturday. They include 17 new cases of which 16 are local infections,1 is a new imported case and 8 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.The evaluation also revealed a new death, bringing the death tally to 51.
The overall confirmed cases have consequently reached 1552 from a total of 95858 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.
The overall assessment reveals 1217 recoveries, 51 deaths and 284 active cases, including 8 hospitalised.
The Health Ministry stated that all active cases have been kept in specialised quarantine centres.
