Tunisia- Breaking news: 176 more coronavirus infections including 166 locals

The Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that as of August 24, 2020, 176  more coronavirus infections have been recorded. The death toll is stable at 71.

In its daily bulletin on the epidemic situation in the country, the ministry indicated that out of a total of 2508  tests carried out, including 32 in the framework of the follow-up of former patients, 176 tests were positive. These include 166 domestic cases, 10 imported cases and 17 cases already carrying the virus.

Since the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, 1868 cases of coronavirus infections have been recorded, including 500 imported cases, 1364 local cases and 21 deaths.

40  patients are currently hospitalized, including 11 cases admitted to intensive care.
