The Ministry of Health announced as September 02, 2020, 198 more COVID-19 infections have been reported. The death tally on its part rose to 84 after reporting three new deaths.
In its periodical bulletin on the pandemic situation in the country, the ministry indicated that out of a total of 2583 tests carried out, including 260 in the framework of the follow-up of former patients, 198 tests were positive. These include 178 domestic cases, 20 imported cases and 34 cases already carrying the virus.
Since the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, 3193 cases of coronavirus contaminations have been recorded, including 574 imported cases, 2589 local cases and 34 deaths.
66 patients are currently hospitalized, including 20 cases admitted to the intensive care unit.
