Out of 1587 COVID-19 tests carried out, including 41 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 29 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Friday. They include 21 new cases of which 4 are local infections,17 are new imported cases and 6 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.
The overall confirmed cases have consequently reached 1535 from a total of 95858 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.
The overall assessment reveals 1195 recoveries, 50 deaths and 290 active cases, including 9 hospitalised.
The Health Ministry stated that all active cases have been kept in specialised quarantine centres.
