Out of 769 COVID-19 tests carried out, including 15 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 29 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement Sunday. They include 26 new cases of which 2 are local infections,24 are new imported cases and 3 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.
The overall confirmed cases have consequently reached 1374 from a total of 83823 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.
1097 patients have recovered and 227 are still carrying the virus. They are under observation. The number of deaths has remained stable at 50. Furthermore, three cases are hospitalized.
The Health Ministry stated that all active cases have been kept in specialised quarantine centres.
