Out of 1561 COVID-19 tests carried out, including 45 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 41 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Thursday. They include 26 new cases of which 3 are local infections,22 are new imported cases and 15 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.
The overall confirmed cases have consequently reached 1561 from a total of 94271 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.
The overall assessment reveals 1187 recoveries, 50 deaths and 277 active cases, including 9 hospitalised.
The Health Ministry stated that all active cases have been kept in specialised quarantine centres.
