Out of 1202 COVID-19 tests carried out on August 11 including 17 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 51 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
They include 42 new cases of which 38 are local infections,4 are new imported cases and 21 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus
The overall confirmed cases have consequently reached 1780 from a total of 107534 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.
The overall assessment reveals 107534 recoveries, 52 deaths and 450 active cases, including 15 hospitalised.
